Sodium lauryl sulfate, referred to as SDS, also known as sodium lauryl sulfate, is an anionic surfactant with the chemical formula CHHh₂SsoNaNA and a relative molecular weight of 288.38.Sodium lauryl sulfate is odorless and has a slightly bitter taste. The substance is white or light yellow powder and needle-like crystals. Common forms include powder, needle-like crystals, and columnar particles.
