Ammonium sulfate, referred to as ammonium sulfate, is an inorganic ammonium salt compound with the chemical formula (NH₄)SSO₄ and a relative molecular weight of 132.14. It is a kind of industrial raw material and agricultural fertilizer with strong stability, no volatility and high cost performance.Industrial grade ammonium sulfate is a white crystalline powder or particle with no obvious odor, stable properties at room temperature, soluble in water, insoluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and acetone, and has the characteristics of weakly acidic, non-volatile, non-corrosive (low concentration), and low toxicity. It is a basic raw material commonly used in many fields such as chemical industry, agriculture, food (special grade), medicine, etc.Its boiling point is 280℃ (decomposition), there is no clear flash point, and the freezing point is 235℃. It is extremely stable when sealed and dry at room temperature and pressure. It is not easy to decompose and absorb moisture. At high temperature (≥280℃), it will decompose to produce ammonia and sulfuric acid, which are almost non-toxic (skin contact is non-irritating, it is strictly prohibited to eat industrial-grade products, and long-term inhalation of dust may cause mild respiratory discomfort).It is strictly prohibited to use industrial-grade ammonium sulfate for food and pharmaceutical consumption/external use (food grade and pharmaceutical grade must meet exclusive standards and be strictly controlled).
